Both lanes on the westbound A30 near Redruth have been reopened following the appearance of a hole beside the road last week.

The road was closed on Thursday afternoon after the hole appeared next to a section of the A30 between the A390 at Scorrier and the A3047 at Redruth. One lane was reopened later in the day, and work has been ongoing to ensure the integrity of the road itself and ground beneath it.

Area Manager, Julian Strong said, “We spent the weekend checking the area around the hole was safe and filling the hole itself with concrete “Final checks have showed that the concrete had cured and the road has now been fully reopened. “
