Police in Cornwall have issued a photo of a robber so they can make sure he goes to prison.

Alex Shirley was convicted of robbery at Truro Crown Court on September 18, 2014 and sentenced to a suspended sentence of 18 months imprisonment suspended for two years.

However on November 27 the Court of Appeal Criminal Division quashed the suspended sentence order and substituted a custodial sentence of five years and five months.

He is now sought for recall to prison and police intend to arrest him once located.

Alex Shirley (pictured) is white, aged 27, 5ft 7ins tall, with cropped black hair. He lives in Newquay but also has links to Liverpool.

Police are seeking the public's help in locating him.

Anyone who sees him or knows of his current whereabouts is asked to call police on 101 quoting reference 755 of 27 November 2014, or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or report online at www.Crimestoppers-uk.org
