Police are looking for the driver of a yellow car that left the scene of a collision in Camborne which left another woman needing treatment by paramedics.

It is suspected that the car was involved in an incident in which a grey Subaru Impreza, travelling on the A30 eastbound at Tolvaddon, collided with the central reservation and landed on the westbound carriageway at around 9.15pm on Saturday, May 9.

Officers are keen to trace the driver of the yellow car, who they believe may have vital information that could help with their investigation.

MPC Roome, based at Camborne Traffic Centre, said: “We are trying to identify the yellow car and appeal to the driver to come forward.

“We would also like to speak to anyone else who has any information about the vehicle or witnessed the collision.”

The female driver of the Impreza, registered to Truro, was treated by paramedics at the scene.

Both carriageways were closed, and Cornwall Council's highways department was called to repair the central reservation before the road was fully re-opened at around 11.30pm.

Anyone who can help with the investigation should contact MPC Roome by emailing 101@devonandcornwall.pnn.police.uk or calling 101, quoting reference 784 of May 9.
