A number of young Coastline Housing customers joined in a litter-pick event in Pengegon and received a voucher for a fun swimming session as a thank you.
The exercise was part of a number of Dreamscheme events run by Coastline Housing across its neighbourhoods, where under 16s are invited to do something good for their community in return for a reward.
Nick Byrne, community investment officer at Coastline Housing, said: “Over the course of an afternoon, the children worked really hard to make Pengegon look much tidier. A lot of them were really quite surprised by how much litter they actually found. Many of the parents commented that this sort of scheme really helps encourage the children to take a bit of pride in their local community, so we’re pleased to be able to run events like this that make a real difference.”
