Police are turning to the public in hope that they can identify the person who snatched a bag from a 66-year-old man in Camborne on Friday morning.
The victim was waiting for a bus on Union Street at around 11.40am when a stranger stole his bag containing a mobile phone, tablet device and other items of personal value.
A police spokesperson said: "Thankfully a member of the public who was driving by at the time spotted this and followed the suspect, who then dropped the bag after a short chase.
"The suspect is described as between 20-30 years old, 6 feet tall, wearing a three quarter length grey coat with the hood up and a red zip, black framed glasses with yellow tinted lenses."
