Just over 18 months after beating cancer, a Camborne woman has launched a personal training business to help others get fighting fit.

At the start of 2014, Tracey Eustice was diagnosed with kidney cancer and had to undergo major surgery at the Royal Cornwall Hospital, Truro. Regaining her fitness was an important part of her road to recovery and that's when she decided she'd like to retrain to share with other people the power of keeping fit.

Tracey, who currently runs a marketing business with her husband Paul, said: "When I saw that there was life after cancer I wanted to grab that life with both hands. Getting back in the gym as soon as possible was really important to me. I thought if I can do it, why don't I inspire others to get fit too."

Tracey is now a qualified gym instructor and personal trainer, and is looking to work specifically with older clients.

She said: "For many older people the thought of going into a gym surrounded by younger, fitter people can be very intimidating. As a mature trainer myself I want to show people that one to one training can be extremely beneficial, you'll really see results and most of all keeping fit can be fun."

Mature Fitness is a dedicated personal training service aimed at more mature clients. Based in a variety of discreet local hotel gym environments, the business was officially launched at the Penventon Health and Leisure Spa annual charity open day on Friday 23 October.
