Firefighters treated one person for smoke inhalation following an electric heater fire in Redruth in the early hours of this morning.
Sixteen firefighters in three fir engines from Tolvaddon were sent to to a reported electrical fire in a domestic property in Copper Lane at Buller Hill in Redruth just before 1.30am.
A fire service spokesperson said: "On crews arrival there was a fire in a kitchen involving an electrical heater."
Crew members wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel jet and a carbon dioxide extinguisher on the fire, before naturally ventilated the building.
Firefighters provided oxygen therapy to one person suffering smoke inhalation prior to the arrival of ambulance paramedics.
