A £1,000 grant has been awarded to Cornwall BMX Racing Club by local landlord Coastline Housing.

The award was given by customers on Coastline’s Funding and Grants Committee, established to support local community groups, clubs and events that will benefit other Coastline customers.

Jason Roberts, Vice Chairman of Cornwall BMX Racing Club, said: “We were delighted to receive this grant from Coastline Housing customers. It will go towards the relocation of the club from Blackwater to a new national standard track at the rear of Barncoose Gateway Park.”

Nick Byrne, Community Investment Officer at Coastline Housing, said: “Our customers were really excited at the prospective move and the longer term benefits for everyone in having such a great facility within the Redruth and Camborne community.”

Cornwall BMX Racing Club is a non-profit making club that meets regularly throughout the year to train, race, practice and generally have fun. The club aims to cater for all ages and abilities and welcomes families and individuals to ride. Riders range between the ages of 3+ to 50+
