Auditions for the television talent show The Voice UK will be held at Cornwall College Camborne at the end of the month.

The show, which has just ended its run on the BBC and will be moving to ITV for the next series, is sending talent scouts to Cornwall who will be looking for looking for incredible singers who want to perform for the nation, plus be in with a chance of winning a major recording contract.

If you think you have the talent to appear on the show as a solo artist, duo or trio, then you are invited to go along to either of the two auditions being held in the county. The first will be at Cornwall College St Austell on Thursday, April 27, at noon and will be followed the next day by auditions at Cornwall College Camborne on at 3.30pm.

Zona Maunder, curriculum lead for performing arts at Cornwall College, said: “We are so excited about having the local auditions at two of our larger campuses where we teach performing arts and music courses. We really can’t wait to see what talent Cornwall has to offer.”

All music styles are welcome at the auditions but producers of the show insist that performers prepare one acapella song.
