Children's Hospice South West (CHSW) received a funding boost of more than £6,000 recently thanks to the efforts of Radnor Golf Club members.
At the club's captain's handover presentation evening, outgoing club captain Mike Smith presented Vicki Hawken of CHSW Redruth with a cheque for £6,471.89.
Mike had selected CHSW as the captain’s chosen charity for 2015/2016, and as a result the club held various fundraising events throughout the year including a charity auction, dog show, harvest festival, euchre and darts nights, race night, coffee morning, various raffles and sponsorship boards.
Mary Murfin, community fundraiser for CHSW, thanked Mike for choosing to support CHSW.
She said: “On behalf of all of the children and families we support I would like to thank Mike and all of the club for their fantastic year of fundraising. We are so grateful and your donation will help us to continue supporting local children with life limiting conditions and their families through very uncertain times.”
