A motorcyclist who died following a collision at Connor Downs near Hayle has been described as "unique and special."

Anthony Allaway, 22, died following a collision on Turnpike Road at 10.30pm on Saturday, August 6.

A silver Volkswagen Polo and a blue motorcycle had collided near to the Turnpike Inn.

Anthony’s father Paul paid tribute to him today, saying: “Our son Anthony was sadly taken from us after a road traffic accident which involved another vehicle on the evening of Saturday, August 6.

“He was a lovely boy who had a very kind, loving nature, polite and loved to please and be there for his family and friends. I am proud to have been able to watch him grow and flourish into a young man."

He added that Anthony always had "many friends" as a pupil attending Camborne Science and Community College growing up.

“He was always the class clown which made him a unique and special boy, he had many passions and interests which included carp fishing and he loved to be out and about on his bike visiting people," said Mr Allaway.

Describing his son as "forever loved," he added: "My son's smile has gone but his memory will live on in all that knew him - he is flying with the angels and one day we will be together again."

Officers from Devon and Cornwall Police's serious collision unit are investigating the incident and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the crash. Anyone with information should call police on 101 or email 101@dc.police.uk quoting reference 1022 of August 6.
