A man is in hospital with injuries described as “potentially life changing” following a crash between a car and bicycle near Camborne.

A blue Volvo V70 was involved in a collision with the bicycle on an unclassified road from Tehidy to Halgoss, at around 6pm yesterday.

As a result, a 44-year-old man from the area was airlifted to Derriford Hospital with potentially life changing injuries, police have said.

Officers from Camborne Police Station, supported by the Alliance Operations Department, were sent to the scene and the road was closed for four hours in order for forensic investigations to be carried out.
