Despite the rain and cold, the 14th Lions Easter Egg Hunt on Portreath was a resounding success, with 240 children showing up to take part on April 1.
The children had a digging egg hunt to find two golden eggs and 24 red ones buried in the sand, with a good mix of locals and visitors from upcountry taking part.
Whilst everyone who participated was given a chocolate egg, those who found the two golden eggs were rewarded with an extra large chocolate egg.
Isaac Wilkinson from Portreath found the golden egg in the five years and under category, and Ethan Wheal from Litchfield found the golden egg in the five to 12 years category.
All proceeds went towards the Lions Charity account, which was supplemented by a beach raffle and eggs sales, whilst 50 eggs were donated and sent as an Easter gift to the residents of Little Harbour.
Fund Raising Chairman, Lion Ken Powell, said that the day was not ideal for egg hunting but never the less was very successful as they raised £600 for the Lions Charity account.
He thanked all those who turned up in the poor weather as well as the sponsors of the event.
