Police are warning dog owners to make sure that they have their pets vaccinated following a number of cases of a virulent virus in Redruth.
Officers are particularly appealing to owners in the Redruth, St Day, Carharrack and Lanner areas to inoculate their pets against the Canine Parvo Virus.
There has been a break-out of this virus in the Redruth area which has led to the deaths of a number of dogs.
Any dogs which display symptoms of severe sickness and diaorhea and will not eat or drink should be taken to a vet for treatment as soon as possible.
