Firefighters from Camborne battled a railway embankment fire this afternoon, in the Gweal Pawl area of Redruth.
The fire crews were called at 3.45pm and used one hose reel and a triple extension ladder to extinguish the flames.
"Due to the location of the fire, crews remained in a defensive position away from the rail track," said a spokesperson for the fire brigade.
The cause of the fire was accidental.
