A Falmouth man has been slapped with a driving ban after being caught nearly three times over the limit.
Jake Thomas Endean, of Killigrew Street, Falmouth, has been fined £525 and banned from driving for 22 months after pleading guilty to a drink-drive charge when he appeared before magistrates at Truro.
Endean, 23, was caught driving an Audi A4 on the Trispen by-pass on August 9 with 94 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath – the legal limit is 35.
In addition to the fine and ban, Endean was ordered to pay a £53 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs.
