A student from Helston has qualified for a scholarship to study sports therapy at the University of Worcester, in recognition of her excellent grades.
Megan Dodson, 18, pictured above, achieved an impressive triple distinction* in her BTEC in sport and exercise science from Truro College, securing her the £1,000 entry scholarship.
Megan said: “I chose Worcester as I wanted to find a university where I felt at home, and it was only Worcester where I felt this way.
“The course looked enjoyable and had the right accreditations that I need.
“Also, the university didn't look too big or too small - the right size. The surroundings look friendly yet sociable with everything in walking distance.”
Unsurprisingly, given the strength of her results, Megan is ambitious and knows what she wants.
“For the future I plan to use my degree to work with athletes abroad and move to America,” she said.
“I would ideally like to own my own sports therapy clinic and build a business with a good reputation.”
