Police have arrested a third man in connection with the alleged shooting of a woman in a car park in Cornwall.

A 66-year-old man from Looe was arrested yesterday, Tuesday, September 30, on suspicion of assisting an offender and taken to Launceston police station where he currently remains.
 

Two men arrested after a woman was allegedly shot in the head in a car park in Cornwall remain in custody, with police continuing searches of the area.

The woman in her 50s, who suffered serious head injuries, remains in hospital in a serious condition.

A 44-year-old man from Looe was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and a 47-year-old man from Looe was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

The arrests followed an incident at Millendreath car park in Looe. Officers were called at around 7am on Monday morning to a property in Looe by ambulance crews who were treating a woman suffering a head injury.
Officers are investigating reports the woman, aged in her fifties, was assaulted in the car park around 11pm the previous evening
