Time is running out to nominate someone to take the honour of switching on Falmouth’s Christmas lights next month.
The initial appeal for names was made a fortnight ago and several people have been put forward. Town manager Richard Gates said: “We have quite a list of them already, probably the most we have ever had. There is quite a selection, some for children and some for adults.”
The final decision will not be made until Monday, however, so there is still a chance to put forward your suggestion. The person chosen will have to be available between 5.30pm and 7.30pm on Thursday, December 4 and must be happy to be involved with pre-switch on publicity.
The names of nominees, who must agree to being put forward, and the reason they deserve the honour, should be forwarded to Ruth Abraham at the town team office by calling 01326 313553 or emailing ruth@falmouth.co.uk.
The deadline for nominations is midday on Monday, November 24.
