Flybe will be increasing services between Newquay and Manchester to ten flights per week thanks to the route's success.
Starting on March 29, additional flights will operate on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays, adding capacity to the current daily service which operates year-round.
A Newquay Airport spokesman said: "The Manchester route has been very successful and carries just under 50,000 passengers per annum providing a quick and convenient travel option for people coming to Cornwall or using the service to connect to Manchester and beyond. With a flight time of just over an hour to Manchester, this service is ideal for passengers travelling for both leisure or business, as it also opens up the option to connect onwards from Manchester to destinations worldwide using Flybe’s (interline) partners.
"Flybe currently has 20 interline partners including Emirates, Virgin Atlantic, Qantas Airways and American Airlines and by using these partners or codeshare agreements, popular worldwide destinations become more accessible to the Cornish community."
