The post office could be returning to Coverack, run from the church hall.
Post Office Ltd is proposing to reintroduce its services from St Peters Hall on Mondays and Thursdays, between 2pm and 5pm.
The post office closed in September last year when Brenda’s, in which it was based, shut its doors after 50 years.
Now, however, the postmaster at Gweek has come forward offering to visit Coverack at set times each week.
This service will open on Monday, March 23 at 2pm, in a bid to return the post office to Coverack as soon as possible.
However, a spokesperson for the company said a final decision about whether the service would be fully put in place would not be taken until April 13, at the end of a six-week public consultation.
