A BLOW has been dealt to two separate stadium plans in Truro after council officers recommended refusal for retail park sections of the proposals.
Both the application for Stadium For Cornwall, backed by the Cornish Pirates and Truro and Penwith College, and Truro City's Silver Bow idea are said to have "adverse effects" which outweigh positives.
Building supermarkets and shops at both sites have been included in the plans to help fund the construction of the stadiums.
A final decision will be taken on the proposals by councillors during a planning meeting on March 12.
