Entries are already coming in for the annual Enys 10K Run which will take place on April 19 and is again organised by the Rotary Club of Penryn, with the support of Enys Gardens.

Local businesses from around Penryn have also supported the run and many |have the race entry forms for anyone interested in taking part. Alternatively visit www.penryn.rotary1290.org for a copy.

Race director Terry Chapman said: “Now in its fifth year, the event is becoming a popular fixture in the local racing calendar. We continue to be very grateful to Enys for our use of the estate and for the generous support this year of Kimberley’s, North Country Garage, Tyrefinders, and Andyloos.

“We’re hoping that runners will want to challenge the dominance that local Mile High Running Club have established in the event. Doing so will also support the charities we’ve chosen this year - Meningitis Now, Wingz animal rehabilitation centre and the Rotary’s campaign to End Polio Now.

“By popular request, and as well as the usual age categories, this year we’ve introduced ‘Super-vets’ for men over 65 and women over 60, and we’re looking forward to a good turnout.”
