Mylor's May Fair was greeted with bright spring weather last weekend as the village turned out for fun in the sunshine.
Visitors and residents enjoyed fairground rides, refreshments including a barbecue, cream teas, and a beer tent, as well as arts and crafts stalls and stands run by local organisations, as the annual event raised thousands for the playing field committee.
Michael Willmore, secretary of the King George V Playing Field committee, said: "It was an exceptional success; the weather was on our side and the turnout was fantastic, virtually the whole village.
"Everyone had a great time."
Michael said the money had not all been counted yet, but the fair had made in excess of £4,500 for the committee, a charitable group which looks after the land, investing in equipment and overseeing maintenance.
