Police in Penzance are appealing for information after a man tried to snatch a handbag from a young woman in front of her children.
The woman, in her 20s, was stood with her two young children on Taroveor Road at around 8.30am on Tuesday when the man approached her and attempted to wrench her handbag from her shoulder.
Police said: "The victim shouted at him and he made off empty handed.
"She was unhurt but naturally very shaken as a result of the incident."
The man is described as white, aged between 40 and 50, approximately 5’ 10” in height, unshaven with dirty unkempt hair, and wearing brown clothing.
