Wet weather couldn't dampen the spirits of St Keverne residents as they enjoyed meat and music during the village's annual ox roast.
As well as the roast itself, there were performances from all three sections of St Keverne Band - the senior, youth, and junior bands - as well as stalls and rides for the children.
One of the organisers, Alan Retallack, said: "The weather wasn't great, but despite that it was brilliantly supported. We just got on with it and raised somewhere in the region of £7,000."
He said although the weather discouraged people from coming out all day, they "turned out for short periods" and the day "made a reasonable amount of money."He added; "Everybody had as good a time as they could and made the best of bad conditions. It was a very rewarding day for all."
The proceeds of the day all go to the town band, to help them buy instruments and cover the costs of free music lessons for young people from the area.
