Falmouth Bowling Club had its most successful Christmas coffee morning ever last weekend and raised over £900 in the process.
Almost 130 people turned out to enjoy refreshments and browse the stalls, which sold books, bric a brac and, most popular of all, Christmas decorations.
There was also a bottle tombola, a raffle, and a new guess the Cornish place competition, with the winner walking away with a hamper full of prizes donated by club members and supporters.
Club secretary Walter Brotherton said: "It was very successful, our best one ever. It was a miserable day at first but people did turn outfor it.
"We are all very grateful to the people who put in a lot of time and effort, cooking and donating things for the betterment of the facilities at the club.
"We raised £930 for general improvements at the club."
