Two fire engines were called to a fire late last night (23/5) at a home in Mawnan Smith.
Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service was sent to Carlidnack Road just before 11pm, where a 999 caller had reported a kitchen fire in a two storey building.
On arrival crew wearing four breathing apparatus used one hosereel and one safety jet along with a covering jet to extinguish the fire in the kitchen. They also used a thermal imaging camera.
A fire service spokesperson said: "Western power also attended the incident due to electrical intake to the property being affected."
