A town councillor in Penryn has been recognised for a quarter of a century of service to the town and its community.
Councillor Martin Mullins was honoured by the town council for his 25 years service at the annual mayor making ceremony in the Temperance Hall on Thursday night.
Mayor Mark Snowdon called Mr Mullins "a very special person."
He said: "This month you have been a town councillor for 25 years, that's a very long period of your life.
"thank you for all you have done over the years."
Mr Mullins said: "You sit on the council not for recognition, not for praise, and not for awards.
"You do it because you feel you can make a difference."
