Cornish tech entrepreneurs will have the chance to pitch their businesses to the Duke of York when he visits the county in October to meet with business leaders.

Cornwall has been selected to host one of three events in the Pitch@Palace On Tour, established by the duketo help businesses grow.

In less than three years the Pitch@Palace programme has helped 205 businesses, with some now enjoying huge global success, and Unlocking Potential has worked with the programme to bring it to Cornwall on October 4.

Unlocking Potential’s programme director Allyson Glover said she believes Pitch@Palace represents a fantastic opportunity for tech businesses from the south west to put themselves on the national and international map.

She said: “The south west has emerged as a nationwide leader in the UK’s Digital and Tech sector with hundreds of innovative businesses now making the region their home, so we are absolutely delighted that we have been asked to host on this event.

“There are only three regional Pitch@Palace On Tours taking place across the UK so it’s a real coup for Cornwall to be selected and a reflection of the depth and breadth of truly innovative tech businesses we have here in the south west. The event could act as a springboard for businesses taking part to put themselves in front of some really influential people and have the opportunity to pitch at St James’s Palace later in the year so we would really recommend tech businesses in the region to enter.”

Three winners from Pitch@Palace On Tour in Cornwall will be selected to receive world class support, mentoring and the chance to put themselves in front of key influencers and investors at the final Pitch@Palace 6.0 event at St James’s Palace in November.

Leading tech businesses in the south west that want to enter should visit: http://pitchatpalace.com/pitchpalace-6-0-2 by September 9.
