A number of primary schools welcomed Jenny Jackson, a volunteer from Helston and the Lizard Foodbank, to raise pupils' awareness of what the foodbank strives to do in the community.
The children were given the chance to guess what goes into a food box - tuna, yes; ice-cream, no. The schools are donating their harvest gifts to the organisation.
The foodbank is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 10am and 2pm at Mustard Seed, the Open Door Café in Wendron Street, Helston; on Mondays from 9am until 10.30am at St Keverne Methodist Hall; and on Fridays between 10am and noon at Mullion Methodist Church.
