No fairy godmother is required for a ticket to the hottest event in town this January, a production of Cinderella by Helston Theatre Company.

Everyone has the chance to enjoy the song and dance routines and family favourite pantomime action when it comes to the stage at the Epworth Hall from January 24 until 29.

Weekday performances are at 7.30pm and weekend performances at 1pm and 6pm on Saturday, and 1pm on Sunday.

All the familiar characters will be there, with Karenza Taylor in the title role of Cinderella, Bethany Lyne as her fairy godmother and Stephanie Rosewarne as her best friend Poppy.

Audiences are encouraged to boo and hiss at the evil stepmother played by Carrie Hayes and laugh at the hapless step-sisters.

Technical expert Ben Blaber, who recently directed the Madness musical, is once again at the helm of this production, which is the first of three big productions for the company this year, followed by RENT in April and Movies to Musicals in August.

Chairman Paul Blaber said: "As always, the team have worked really hard to pull this show together. There are familiar faces in the cast, in amongst some new ones, and everyone has pulled out all the stops to create a first-class production. I’ll be leaving the show singing and dancing now that I’ve heard their collection of musical numbers, too."

Tickets are selling fast, so to book head online to helstontheatrecompany.co.uk, call 01726 879500 or visit Gillian’s Larder in Meneage Street, Helston in person.
