Two friends from Mawnan Smith have joined forces to set up a farmers' market within the village and are inviting people to get involved.
Sarah Bailey, of the Cornish maid cafe, along with her good friend Caroline Toland, who grew up in the village, decided that the "abundance of local produce and creativity" of the village needed a showcase so decided to launch their new venture.
The first market will be held in the Memorial Hall between 9am and 3pm on Saturday, May 27. "Stalls are selling fast but there is still availability for anyone local to be part of this exciting opportunity," said Sarah.
