Homeowners and staff at the Trelawny House development in Falmouth are inviting locals in for afternoon tea on May 23, to raise funds for the RNLI.
Members of the public will be welcomed to the development between 2pm and 4pm, and can hear a talk from representatives from Falmouth RNLI.
In return for a small donation guests will be able to enjoy afternoon tea and a raffle prize draw in the homeowners lounge.
The RNLI is a national charity which saves lives at sea through lifeboat search and rescue, lifeguards and water safety initiatives.
Falmouth RNLI lifeboat station is one of the busiest in the South West, and this year staff are celebrating it's 150th anniversary.
Coinciding with the special occasion, staff are trying to raise £100,000 which will go towards the cost of improvements to its station ahead of the arrival of its new Atlantic class inshore lifeboat in 2019.
Jacqueline Gilbert, house manager at Trelawny House, said: “We are really looking forward to hosting our afternoon tea party in aid of the RNLI.
"We are proud to support the volunteer crews which provide this life-saving service, and we would like to thank the Falmouth RNLI for offering to speak at the event on behalf of the charity.
"Join us on Tuesday 23rd May for plenty of tea and cake, all are welcome and it should be a fantastic event.”
