Four Tehidy golf players have raised £1,608 in a 72 hole marathon for St Agnes RNLI Lifeboat.

The four golfers, Chris Hoyle, Joe Venn, James Barnard, Justin Barnard, raised the money in sponsorship at the Tehidy Golf Club, near Camborne, which has been given to the golf club captain's chosen charity, which this year is the St Agnes RNLI Lifeboat. The team of four walked every step, with no buggies allowed.

The St Agnes RNLI chairperson, Gerald Simmons, accepted the money on behalf of the St Agnes RNLI. He said: "We are extremely grateful to the captain and the four men for there tremendous fundraising efforts, which will be put towards saving lives at sea."
