A knifepoint robbery and another theft reportedly involving a gun in the Camborne area are not believed to be linked, police have said.

Officers in Camborne are appealing to the public for information following the two robberies which took place on Sunday (12/11).

The first incident happened between 11.30am and 11.45am at Adelaide Stores on Penrose Court in Tolvaddon, when a man entered the store holding a knife, approached the till area and demanded money from the store assistant.

The assistant ran off and the offender left the scene empty handed.

The second incident occurred between 8.42pm and 8.48pm at Mr W’s Eats and Treats on Pendarves Street in Tuckingmill, when a man entered the store with a hood up and a cover over his face. He was reportedly carrying a gun and threatened staff to make them hand over money from the till, but they did not and the man left the store empty handed.
