A Truro man has put on a spectacular festive lights display outside his home in Truro in memory of his father with all money raised going to cancer charity Clic Sergent.

Mark Verran from Malabar works all year to source the lights needed to create the display with the candy canes being made back in January.

On Saturday, December 9 he will be offering visitors mulled wine and mince pies outside his home in Behenna Drive from 6pm to 7pm with the chance for children to meet Olaf from Frozen (Mark in a a suit) .

His partner Tracy Kemp said:"My partner Mark Verran works so hard to create this amazing lights display, taking weeks to put up and all year to design.

"He travels to find lights and puts this amazing display on to raise money for CLIC Sergent. Mark's dad passed away 15 years ago and he was the Father Christmas for Truro and him and Mark use to put the lights up in Truro.

"Mark now does this in honour of his dad who loved Christmas and believed in its magic for children and grown ups and we want to continue his spirit through the lights."

The lights will be on from December 9 weekdays from 6pm until 9pm and weekends 5pm until late. Donations would be much appreciated.
