After weeks of speculation and wild rumour, the cat is finally out of the bag – Brad Pitt’s base while he was filming in Falmouth last month can now be revealed.

It was Nansloe Manor, near Helston, that played host to both Brad and his wife Angelina Jolie, as well as “Lost” star Matthew Fox and the film’s director Marc Forster.

The Hollywood A-listers all signed the hotel’s guest book, which now reads like the opening credits to World War Z, the zombie apocalypse movie they were filming.

B. Pitt and A. Jolie’s entry thanks the staff for a “superb” stay and comments on the “excellent food” and “the perfect coffee”. “Enjoyed immensely,” it reads.

“Loved it here and hope to come back on holiday,” was Matthew Fox’s comment, while Marc Forster said: “Thank you for the great service and the amazing food.”

Nansloe Manor manager Roanna Rogers told the Packet that although the hotel had now revealed itself to be the location of Brad and Angelina’s stay on its website, it would not be releasing a statement or giving any further information.

She said: “It’s our owner’s decision. Basically we just want to keep it private for them so we just thought we would put a little something on the website and leave it at that.”
