 | Full programme released for Tall Ships regatta | | The full regatta programme for the Funchal 500 Tall Ships Regatta has been finalised. Falmouth is playhing host to the start of the event, with a fleet of some 20 Tall Ships arriving by midday on Wednesday September 10 for four days of entertainment and spectacle before leaving on Saturday September 13 in a Parade of Sail preceding the race start. |

| Class A ships list full | | The ports of Falmouth in the UK and Funchal in Portugal have now reached their maximum capacity for the large Class A ships for this year's Funchal 500 Tall Ships Regatta. Smaller vessels are still able to enter but these two ports are unable to berth any more Class A ships. |

| Walking to raise money for sailing | | Stunning scenery, four boat trips and a Cornish cream tea is the reward for the first 200 who sign up for the Fal River Walk, on the June 1 and help raise money for the tall ships regatta and other good causes. The Walk, part of the Fal River Festival, is being organised by The Rotary Club of Truro Boscawen and aims to raise £20,000 for charity by asking each of the 200 walkers to try and raise £100 in sponsorship. |

About 30 vessels or all shapes and sizes will be taking part and visiting Falmouth where many will take on new crews, mostly young people, before setting off to celebrate the 500th annniversary of Funchal, capital of the island of Madeira. |
