A&P Falmouth, in collaboration with Falmouth Art Gallery and two local artists, is providing a unique artwork for Falmouth residents and visitors to enjoy.

Concrete blocks which make up a large wall on County Wharf are being transformed into a giant mural over the next few months, meaning that cruise ship passengers, Tall Ships participants and Falmouth town residents and visitors can enjoy a pleasing backdrop as they look across the water to Falmouth Docks.

Vicki Gillow and Juliet Walshe, pictured, are working on the mural which is made up of large sections of marine plywood which will be fixed to the concrete blocks to depict the work that goes on behind the wall.

The mural is being painted using exterior paints and will be given a finish to protect it against the weather. The first 18-metre section should be on view in the next few weeks.
