Reports that German submarines have been spotted off the Lizard.

February 9, 1915

US liner Wilhemina arrived in harbour from

New York bound for Hamburg with food for non-combatants. She put in with the excuse that she wanted a new lifeboat. This is the ship whose cargo has been consigned to Hamburg as a test case as to whether food for non combatants is contraband.

February 12, 1915

Reports that two or three submarines spotted in the bay.

February 13, 1915

Four-masted barque Andromeda wrecked near Killigerran, one life lost. Vessel on passage from Tacoma to Falmouth for orders laden with wheat.
