A Penryn bridal shop and the general manager of a hotel in Falmouth have been named winners at the first ever Cornish Brides Awards.
Lavender Rose Bridal Wear was named 'bridal boutique of the year' at the ceremony held at Truro's Alverton Manor Hotel, while Neil Slade, currently of the Green Lawns Hotel, was handed the 'bride's choice' award.
The event, organised and hosted by Scorrier-based Cornish Brides bridal magazine, recognised talent, quality and dedication in the bridal industry.
More than 200 businesses entered the awards and well over 5,000 votes were cast over the four months voting period.
A total of 36 businesses made it to the finals and 12 awards were presented, with accolades for everything from best wedding venue to photographer, florist, cake designer and beauty stylist.
Next year's awards will launch on January 7.
