A Penryn model and former Helston schoolgirl has found success in an international competition with her hairdressing tutor.

Ex Helston Community College student Livvy Nash, aged 19, from Commercial Road, acted as model for Robin Neale, of Truro’s Russell Robin Hair Studio, where she is an apprentice.

Together they took a 1st Gold Star Award at the Salon International event held at ExCel in London.

Robin created three different styles for part time model Livvy’s hair and then photographed them for the competition, resulting in them coming first in the day wear category.

They now hope to enter a similar competition, the Art de Coiffure Show in Paris, next year.
