Travellers between Falmouth and Penryn can take to the water from this spring with a new improved water taxi service between the two towns.
Carl Beardmore, from Falmouth Water Taxi, met with Penryn town clerk Michelle Davey last week to discuss “how he can make better use of the pontoons,” Miss Davey said.
The pontoons, at Exchequer Quay, were opened last April and provide free berths for short stay visitors. Miss Davey added: “He came to see us to see what services we would like him to provide for Penryn.”
One suggestion was a special service to be put on in September when Penryn will play host to the Gorsedh celebrations. This service would ferry visitors from the Park and Float at Ponsharden to the Exchequer Quay pontoons.
