VIDEO: Children rescued from Stack Point after becoming trapped by the tide

Falmouth RNLI have released a video of the rescue of four children cut off by the tide at Stack Point, close to Swanpool Beach on Sunday.

Both the all weather lifeboat and the inshore life boat, alongside th Falmouth cliff rescue team, raced to rescue the children, aged between 12 and 14-years-old.

A RNLI spokesman said: "The inshore lifeboat did a great job working in amongst the rocks in darkness to safely recover the kids.

"It was decided that it was unsafe to land at Swanpool due to the dumping beach waves, so they were transferred to the all weather lifeboat and landed back at station and handed over to the coastguard cliff team until collected by their parents."
