The family of Mark Robinson, who died in a crash at Carnon Downs last week, have paid tribute to a “gentle, caring man” and “gifted musician”.

The 21-year-old was from a close family who all live in and around Falmouth and had recently moved to St Agnes with his partner.

In a statement released via the police his family said: “Mark was a gentle, caring man who was just beginning the next chapter of his life with his partner Lesley.

“He loved music and was a gifted musician.

“He has never given his parents a minute’s worry; he was a son to be proud of.”

Mark died on the afternoon of Saturday, January 26 following a collision with a lorry on Bissoe Road near Carnon Downs.

A fire engine from Truro, rescue tender from Camborne, the police and ambulance service were all called out to the scene of the accident at 3.25pm.

The road was closed for eight hours following the crash.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact them on 101 ref 493 of 26/01/13.
