Falmouth town council to have a say on licensing applications

News that town and parish councils can now have a say on licensing applications has been welcomed by councillors.

Cornwall Council informed Falmouth Town Council that it can now make representations on applications for new premises licenses or variations to existing ones.

Councillor Gerald Chin-Quee said: “I am very happy to hear this because what is good for Newquay is not necessarily what we want to see in Falmouth. I do applaud the opportunity for stronger representation, it’s got to be good.”
