A Mylor man who dedicated his life to the village was remembered this weekend, when three trees planted in his honour were blessed at a special ceremony. Watch a video of the blessing below.
Tony Andrew, a stalwart member of the parish council and its long-serving chairman, died suddenly in February last year.
To mark the anniversary of his death a large crowd, including many friends and fellow Lions Club members, gathered on the village’s playing field in the winter sunshine on Sunday.
A memorial stone was unveiled to the former Truro Lions member who had been at the heart of Flushing and Mylor life for 60 years.
His youngest daughter, Kathryn Andrew, said: “I miss my dad very much and yes, he was a significant part of Mylor life as well as mine.”
