RNLI call out to stricken fishing boat in Falmouth Bay

A fishing boat with engine failure in Falmouth Bay last week led to a call out for the town’s lifeboat.

Falmouth Coastguard requested a lifeboat for the stricken “Rebecca Too” just after 11am on Sunday, February 10.

She had lost power off Newporth Beach, between Pennance Point and Maenporth.

The lifeboat reached the 19ft fishing vessel and a crewman went aboard to try and restart her engine.

This attempt failed she was towed back to Port Pendennis Marina where she was berthed.
