Burning car sets garages on fire in Falmouth
Firefighters were called to Longfield in Falmouth yesterday evening after a report that a car on fire had set a row of garages ablaze.
Two appliances and an officer from Falmouth were drafted in just before 6.45pm and on arrival crews confirmed smoke was coming from the garage.
Crews used breathing apparatus, one hose reel and one jet to enter with foam also used to extinguish the fire.
Firefighters extinguished the fire as it was spreading into the next garage and removed roof tiles to expose any hotspots.
